Terms of Service
These Terms of Use (hereinafter referred to as "the Terms") stipulate the terms of use of the services (hereinafter referred to as "the Services") provided by MATCH Tokyo (hereinafter referred to as "our company"). Registered users (hereinafter referred to as "Users") and groups (hereinafter referred to as "Groups") must use our services in accordance with these Terms.
Article 1 (Application)
These Terms and Conditions shall apply to all relationships between the Company and the User or Groups regarding the use of this Service.
Article 2 (User Registration and Group Registration)
Individual user participation requires registration via the Meetup website or Meetup application.
Group reservation requires registration via the Meetup website or Meetup application, or via the MATCH Tokyo website.
If the Company determines that an applicant for user registration or group registration falls under any of the following items, the Company may not approve the application for our services and shall not be obligated to disclose the reasons therefor.
(1) If false information is provided when applying for user registration
(2) If the application is from someone who has previously violated these Terms and Conditions.
(3) Any other case in which the Company determines that your registration is inappropriate.
Article 3 (Management of User ID and Password)
Users shall manage their user IDs and passwords for the Meetup platform at their own responsibility.
Article 4 (Usage fees and payment methods)
In consideration of the use of our services, the User or Group shall pay the usage fee determined by our company and displayed on the Meetup event pages, by the method specified by our company.
If the User or Group delays payment of the service fee, the User or Group will be banned from all future services until the debt is repayed.
Article 5 (Prohibitions)
When using this service, Users and Groups are prohibited from engaging in the following acts.
Actions that violate laws, regulations, or public order and morals
Any activity related to criminal activity
Any act that destroys or interferes with the functioning of our servers or networks
Any act that may disrupt the operation of our services
Collecting or storing personal information about other users
Impersonating other users
Any act of directly or indirectly providing benefits to antisocial forces in relation to our services
Any other actions that the Company deems inappropriate
Article 6 Termination
For individual participation, the User may terminate the agreement at any time 24 hours before an event start time by cancelling their attendance via the Meetup platform. Users are fully responsible for updating their attendance status. In the event the User cancels their attendance past the deadline or fail to attend the event applied for, the User shall still remain obligated to pay the Company for the service. The Company reserves the right to remove the User from an event at any time without liabilty.
For group participation, the Group may terminate the agreement at any time 7 days before an event start time by cancelling their attendance in written form via email or online messenging services. Users are fully responsible for updating their attendance status. In the event the Group cancels their attendance past the deadline or fail to attend the event applied for, the Group shall still remain obligated to pay the Company for the service. The Company reserves the right to remove the Group from an event at any time without liabilty.
This Agreement will automatically terminate when both the Company and the User or Group have performed all of their obligations under the Agreement and all payments have been received.
Article 7 (Suspension of provision of the Service, etc.)
If the Company determines that any of the following circumstances exist, the Company may suspend or interrupt the provision of all or part of the Service without prior notice to the User.
(1) When carrying out maintenance, inspection or updates of the website or platforms related to the Service
(2) When it becomes difficult to provide the Service due to force majeure such as an earthquake, lightning strike, fire, power outage or natural disaster.
(3) When a computer or communication line is stopped due to an accident
(4) Any other case in which the Company determines it is difficult to provide the Service.
The Company shall not be liable for any disadvantage or damage suffered by the User or any third party due to the suspension or interruption of the provision of the Service, regardless of the reason.
Article 8 (Restrictions on Use and Cancellation of Registration)
In the following cases, we may restrict the User's use of all or part of the Service or cancel the User's registration without prior notice.
(1) If you violate any provision of these Terms and Conditions
(2) If it is discovered that any of the registered information is false
(3) Any other reason that the Company determines that use of the Service is inappropriate.
The Company shall not be liable for any damages caused to the User by any actions taken by the Company under this Article.
Article 9 (Disclaimer)
Our company will be exempt from liability for breach of contract if such breach is not due to our willful misconduct or gross negligence.
If the Company is held liable for any reason, the Company shall be liable for compensation only to the extent of damages that may normally occur and, in the case of paid services, only to the extent of the price of the service
The Company shall not be liable for any transactions, communications, disputes, etc. that arise between a user and another user or a third party in relation to the Service.
Article 10 (Changes to Service Content, etc.)
The Company reserves the right to change the content of the Service or to discontinue provision of the Service without notifying the User, and shall not be liable for any damages incurred by the User as a result thereof.
Article 11 (Changes to Terms of Use)
If we deem it necessary, we may change these Terms and Conditions at any time without notifying the user.
Article 12 (Notice or Contact)
Any notification or communication between the Company and the User or Group shall be made in accordance with the methods specified by the Company.
Article 13 (Prohibition of Transfer of Rights and Obligations)
Users may not transfer or pledge as security to a third party their status under the Service Agreement or their rights or obligations under these Terms and Conditions without our prior written consent.
Article 14 (Governing Law and Jurisdiction)
The interpretation of these Terms and Conditions shall be governed by Japanese law.
In the event of a dispute regarding the Service, the court having jurisdiction over our head office location shall be the exclusive jurisdiction.
