MATCH Tokyo recognizes the importance of personal information, operates in accordance with the Personal Information Protection Act, and is taking the following measures.

1. We will properly manage the personal information we obtain from our customers and will not provide or disclose it to any third party other than the company that has obtained the customer's consent without the customer's prior approval. However, this does not apply in the following cases.

   • When required by law

   • When it is necessary for the protection of human life, body, or property, and it is difficult to obtain the customer's consent

   • When it is particularly necessary for the improvement of public health or the promotion of healthy child development, and it is difficult to obtain the customer's consent

   • When it is necessary to cooperate with a national or local government agency, or a person commissioned by them, in carrying out duties prescribed by law, and obtaining the customer's consent is likely to impede the performance of said duties

2. With companies to which we provide personal information based on the customer's consent as described in 1. above, we will enter into contracts regarding confidentiality and safe management of the customer's personal information and will provide appropriate supervision.

3. We may contact you by email, post, telephone, etc., with information about our services or products and services of our partners that we believe may be beneficial to you. You may suspend or resume such handling by requesting it in a manner separately specified by our company.

4. Third-party platforms (such as Meetup) used to host our individual events may collect customer information through their services. Please note that we are not responsible for the protection of customer personal information by these third-party companies.

5. For important changes to the privacy policy, we will contact affected customers. For changes to the privacy policy, we recommend that you check the latest information on the changes on this website from time to time. Please note that we cannot take any responsibility for any troubles arising from failure to check. 

6. If you wish to correct or amend any personal information you have provided to us, please amend the information via the Meetup platform for individual events or for groups via communication channels (email, post, etc.). In order to prevent the leakage of personal information, we will disclose, correct or delete your personal information within a reasonable period of time only if we are able to confirm that the request is made by the customer himself/herself.

7. We will comply with applicable laws, regulations, and standards regarding personal information held by our company, and will review and improve the efforts in each of the above sections as appropriate.
